The mission of the MSU Variety Test program is to provide unbiased comparisons of varieties for use by producers and industry.
2020 MSU Forage Variety Test (applications will be posted in January)
- 2020 Alfalfa Variety Trials Application – Alfalfa trial offered at East Lansing and Chatham (entry deadline April 1, 2020)
- 2020 Red Clover Variety Trials Application – Red Clover trial offered at East Lansing (entry deadline April 1, 2020)
- 2020 Perennial Grass Variety Trials Application – Offered at East Lansing and Chatham (entry deadline April 1, 2020)
- 2020 Annual Forages Variety Trial Application – Three planting dates (May-spring annuals, June-warm-season annuals, and August (winter annuals) are offered at East Lansing and Chatham (entry deadline varies by date)
- 2020 Cover Crop Variety Trials Application – Offered at East Lansing at Chatham (entry deadline July 1, 2010)
